Private Pilot License (PPL): (PPL) is a license that allows the holder to fly a single-engine airplane for private purposes only. It does not allow the holder to work for commercial airlines.

Commercial Pilot License (CPL): (CPL) is a license that allows the holder to work as a commercial pilot for commercial airlines.

Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL): is the highest level of pilot license, which allows the holder to fly for major commercial airlines. It is activated by obtaining 1,500 hours of flight time.
